Love this film. Art house action? Well a f...Booyah! Love this film. Art house action? Well a few of my colleagues have argued there isn't much action, but where does this film sit in terms of genre? It's something else. A hyper-stylised crime drama that is near-perfection in the way it is shot, edited, scored and acted (except Perlman, who is ridiculously over-the-top, and Mulligan who is miscast). I found there to be much more complexity to the screenplay than I initially thought, too. One of the best of 2011. So glad I have grown to 'love this'.
